Star Wars: The 10 Best Bounty Hunters in the Galaxy

‘Going somewhere, Solo?’ He is Greedo, but you’re not. Ever since the unfortunate Rodian got fried in the Mos Eisley cantina, Star Wars fans have loved bounty hunters. They’re just such cool characters, and their profession is filled with a sense of mystery and excitement. Not surprising then that some of Star Wars’ most enduring characters are bounty hunters. There are plenty to choose from, too, but here are the ten greatest the galaxy had to offer.

IG-11

He’s a bounty hunter, a nurse droid, Grogu’s personal transport, and now Marshall of Nevarro. Definitely multi-talented for an IG unit. Of course, his primary function is assassination and bounty hunting, so who knows, maybe the people of Nevarro aren’t as safe as they like to think. What would happen if someone put a price on Greef Karga?

Aurra Sing

One time podrace enthusiast and one of the most successful bounty hunters ever. She broke into the Senate, teamed up with Bane, mentored Boba Fett, shot Ahsoka Tano and almost assassinated Padme Amidala. Maybe having an aerial implanted in your head is a good thing.

Bossk

Don’t mess with him, he’s a Trandoshan. He’s also been one of the most capable bounty hunters for the longest time, with a career that started before the Clone Wars and continued after the fall of the Empire. Maybe he never met a Wookiee.

Krrsantan

Speaking of Wookiees, here’s one that almost killed Boba Fett. A former gladiator, Krrsantan has electric knuckle duster permanently attached to his hands. Don’t take him into a casino though, he has a nasty habit of spoiling people’s fun by ripping their arms off.

Embo

If you want to be cool, wear a cool hat, and if it can double as a shield and snowboard, even better. Also get yourself an Anooba as a pet, a bowcaster and you could look like Embo. But you’ll have to work a lot harder to actually be Embo not dying while fighting Savage Opress. Embo can also be spelt G O A T.

Din Djarin

Remember early on in The Mandalorian when Din’s ship is stripped for parts and he gets taken down by Jawas? That’s pretty much Din Djarin, but he also never gives up (or takes his helmet off). He does everything he can to bring Grogu up right. If you want to be a cool bounty hunter but also a dad, then This Is The Way.

Asajj Ventress

What would be cooler than an ex-Sith? An ex-Sith who’s now a bounty hunter. Abandoned by Dooku, Ventress had to find a way to earn a living and decided to put her skills to use bounty hunting, even working with a young Boba Fett (she also locked him in a box, but I bet he doesn’t talk about that). Do you think anyone would believe her if she told them she used to be Dooku’s apprentice?

Boba Fett

And here is Boba Fett. As soon as he got out of that box he set about becoming the most infamous bounty hunter in the galaxy. Wearing Beskar helps make him look cool (he stole his dad’s look), and he has a fierce reputation. In later life, he mellows a little, and becomes Daimyo of Tatooine, taking over his boss’s old empire.

Fennec Shand

Boba wouldn’t have accomplished this without Fennec Shand, however. A master assassin, Shand is one of the highst paid bounty hunters around, skilled in just about every type of combat (she beat Bane) and is now also a cyborg.

Cad Bane

Could Cad Bane be the best of the best? Yes. .Just look at his record. During the Clone Wars he broke into both the Jedi Temple and the Senate, survived encounters with Obi Wan, Ahsoka, and Anakin, and almost assassinated Palpatine. If that wasn’t enough, he was still one of the most respected bounty hunters thirty years later. Legend.
