Hera Syndulla, First Officer Hawkins, and Lieutenant Beyta in the Ahsoka series

The latest Star Wars series to arrive on Disney+ will be Ahsoka, a show following the former Jedi padawan Ahsoka Tano, which appears to be set sometime after the rebellion. In many ways this is a continuation of the storyline of Star Wars Rebels, and as a result, there will be many references to that show, including several characters crossing over into live-action. Aside from the former Jedi, here’s every other established character who’ll be returning.

Huyang

Huyang is a mysterious character who first appeared in The Clone Wars. He was a droid in the Jedi Order who helped younglings build their lightsabers and is said to be thousands of years old, carrying a record of every saber ever built. It’s not clear what his role in the series will be, but it’s likely that his huge knowledge will have something to do with it. David Tennant, who voiced Huyang in The Clone Wars and played the Tenth Doctor in Doctor Who will be returning to the role.

Hamato Xiono

A New Republic senator, Hamato is also the father of Kazuda Xiono, the young flying ace from the animated series Star Wars Resistance. He’s only appeared in a small scene in the trailer, but he is confimed to be played by Nelson Lee.

Morgan Elsbeth

A minor villain played by Diana Lee Inosanto who appeared in a single episode of The Mandalorian season two. Elsbeth was a former Imperial who controlled the planet Corvus and made an enemy of Ahsoka who defeated her in a duel. It’s possible there will be some overlap between the events of this episode and the Ahsoka series.

Anakin Skywalker

As Ahsoka’s former Jedi master, Anakin had a big part in her life up until she left the Order. There have been hints that Ahsoka will see Anakin through the World Between Worlds introduced in Rebels, maybe witnessing alternate timelines, and it looks like Hayden Christensen will be returning to the role.

Captain Rex

This is a more speculative entry, but the rumours were fired even more by the appearance of Temuera Morrison as Rex in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. While neither Morrison or Disney have confirmed the return of the popular clone, he is listed on the show’s IMDb credits.

Hera Syndulla

A big characters in the animated series Star Wars Rebels, Hera led a group known as Phoenix Squadron, rising to the rank of general, a position she new occupies in the New Republic military. Given her background, it’s likely she’ll be a central part in the fight against Grand Admiral Thrawn and his forces. Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be playing the ace pilot, and she already has a connection to Star Wars, being married to General Kenobi himself, Ewan McGregor.

Jacen Syndulla

The son of Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus, Jacen made a small cameo in the final episode of rebels. There’s been no official announcement of his character, but a Lego minifigure has been revealed, and it seems only natural he will be in the show.

Mon Mothma

Originally a member of the Republic and Imperial senates, Mothma went on to become leader of the Rebel Alliance, and later took up the position of Chancellor in the New Republic. She won’t have any easy time, trying to keep the peace and disarm after the Galactic Civil War, while also having to deal with the rising threat of Thrawn. Once again, Genevieve O’Reilly will take on the role, having played her most recently in Andor.

C1-10P “Chopper”

One of the most characterful droids in the galaxy, Chopper is a beat up astromech rescued by Hera from a crashed Y-Wing back in the Clone Wars. Despite his cantankerous nature, he’s extremely loyal to her and is invaluable for getting the Ghost crew out of tight spots, usually by blowing things up.

Ezra Bridger

Ezra was a central character in Rebels, rising from an orphaned thief living on the streets of Lothal to become a Jedi Knight. Just how big a role Ezra will have isn’t clear. He has appeared in the trailer, but only as a recorded hologram message. The last time we saw him, he disappeared into hyperspace aboard Thrawn’s Star Destroyer in the Rebels finale. Ezra will be played in live-action by Eman Esfandi.

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Originally created by author Timothy Zahn for his Heir to the Empire trilogy, Thrawn became one of the best loved villains in Star Wars and was made the lead antagonist in Rebels, working to destroy Phoenix Cell. It seems that some of Zahn’s work will be incorporated into the new series, as Thrawn tries to rebuild the Empire and overthrow the New Republic. Lars Mikkelsen who voiced the character in Rebels will also be playing him in live-action.

Sabine Wren

Another member of the Ghost crew, Sabine is a Mandalorian warrior with a love of art. It’s clear from all the promotional material that Sabine will have a central role in the show, most likely trying to find Ezra after his disappearance. There’s also the suggestion that Sabine was being trained by Ahsoka, though whether this means she’s Force sensitive still isn’t clear. Sabine will be portrayed in live-action by another new actor, Natasha Liu Bordizzo.

Thanks for reading! This list will be updated as more info and announcements are revealed about the show.
