Films and Fiction

Hello and welcome to my new blog, The Culture Shed.

Three of the things I love most are movies, music, and video games, so I decided to bring them all together here on one blog and talk about them.

I’ve never got too excited about the latest releases that everyone else seems to be raving about and prefer things that are at least ten years old, often older.

I’m a big fan of movies across just about every genre, sci-fi, fantasy, action, adventure. In particular I love Peter Jackson’s epic Lord of the Rings trilogy.

When it comes to music, rock is among my favourites, especially glam rock and classic ’70s and ’80s tunes.

In games, my favourite retro platform is the Nintendo DS. I think its small size give it a certain practicality and its limitations force developers to think in creative ways when bringing classics like Mario Bros. and SimCity to the platform.
